The South Africa Cultural Dance Association (SACDA) was launched in September, 1990 to promote, protect and oversee our African dance traditions as well as to provide knowledgeable authorities for people seeking information about dancing.
(SACDA has been involved in the collecting, promoting, presentation and preservation of our traditional social dance heritage.
To this end, it runs classes at festivals, dance weekends & dance days, social dances,
as well as regular dance workshops through the African Countries It also runs the annual Dance Composers’ Competition,
for contemporary folk dances written in the style of traditional dances.
Preserve, present, and teach indigenous African culture through dance, education, and performance.
